iPhone, iPad, and one account between them

Neither device holds the account. Replacing a phone or adding a tablet means signing in and finding everything as it was, with nothing to export from the old device first. That also means a lost or sold handset does not take the account with it.

The two devices tend to fall into different roles. An iPad is comfortable for reading a chart's history and comparing timeframes while sitting down; an iPhone is what covers the hours in between, when the point is to check something quickly rather than study it.

Ghana runs at UTC+0, so the London open lands in the local morning and the New York open in the early afternoon. Much of that falls outside time at a desk, which is where a phone earns its place, and iOS keeps the app current in the background so the version is never a question.
